OK, tooling around the Internet looking up odds and ends and ran into this tidbit: apparently the “remains” of a 3,000-year-old human were found a little over 60 miles from the border with Mexico. On the Mexican side. Was this human on the way to a minimum-wage job in El Norte? Did she (they think the “remains” are female) look to a better life doing other people’s laundry, cleaning motels and doing factory piece-work? Did she bump into an extraordinarily vigilant Minute Man? Things that make you go “Hmmm…”
