AirTran Airways Launches New Service to Cancun, Mexico

ORLANDO, Fla., PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:AAI) , today launched daily nonstop flights from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Atlanta, Ga., to Cancun Airport International in Cancun, Mexico.

Blackout dates to/from Cancun are as follows: March 12, 2009, through April 20, 2009, May 21-22, 2009, and May 25, 2009, June 26-28, 2009, and July 2-3, 2009, July 5-6, 2009. A first bag may be checked for a fee of up to $15 per person and a second bag may be checked for a fee of up to $25 per person.
