 George Erikson, a Prescott, Arizona anthropologist and author, will appear on a National Geographic program on August 14, 21, and September 4. After 20 years of research, Erikson posits an intriguing theory that states that there is a correlation linking ancient Atlantis and the MesoAmerican cultures of the Olmec and the Maya, based on Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula. Erikson, and other scholars, challenge the long-held belief that the first Americans migrated over a land bridge between Siberia and Alaska, instead, believing that early men, most likely Southeast Asians, were sea navigators, landing in the West some 13,500 years ago. http://www.atlantisinamerica.com/index.html
