Cabo Wine & Food Fest 2009 (January 14-18, 2009) announces vintner additions including Beringer, Chateau Ste. Michelle, Columbia Crest, and Penfolds & Lindemans vineyards
CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico – PRNewswire/ — Pueblo Bonito Oceanfront Resorts and Spas is pleased to announce the newest additions to a stellar line up for the 1st Annual Cabo Wine & Food Fest 2009: Chef Michael Schlow and Chef Antonio de Livier. As host of the Festival, Pueblo Bonito proudly welcomes Food Network(TM) star Guy Fieri. Chef Fieri, simply known as “Guy,” has become a prominent figure in the world of culinary celebrities. After winning the second season of “The Next Food Network Star” two years ago, Guy quickly became a regular face on the highly recognized network with four successful shows, Guy’s Big Bite; Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives; Guy Off the Hook and most recently Ultimate Recipe Showdown. Guy added “cookbook author” to his list of accolades this past fall and remains dedicated to his restaurants throughout California. In addition, Guy serves on the Board of Directors for the Educational Foundation of the California Restaurant Association. James Beard(TM) award winner Chef John Sarich, the Wine & Food Director at Chateau Ste. Michelle vineyard in Washington, will join Pueblo Bonito Oceanfront Resorts and Spas Executive Chef Antonio de Livier, highly renowned Chef Michael Schlow, and Chef Guy Fieri rounding out the culinary line up for this year’s Festival.
In addition to the innovative talent in the kitchen at the Cabo Wine & Food Fest 2009, vineyards, spirits and their makers will have a strong presence. Pioneering winemaker Hugo d’Acosto will collaborate closely with Pueblo Bonito’s Executive Sommelier Juan Carlos Flores. Most recently, d’Acosto revolutionized the Baja California area of Valle de Guadalupe – often compared to Napa Valley – through his meticulous attention to the soil, grape selection and maintenance. The festival will also be graced by the attendance of Susana Balbo of Argentina as she represents the wines from her namesake vineyard. Moreover, Mutual Trading Company will participate representing different Japanese Sakes.
