OK, so I’m Googling (does anybody know if this word has been officially declared a verb? Never mind, I’ll Google it…) and up comes this:
“In Mexico an air conditioner is called a politician because it makes a lot of noise but doesn’t work very well.”
— Len Deighton
How funny is that???? LMAOPMP!!! So OF COURSE I Google “Len Deighton” and found out he’s “a British historian, cookery expert and author of spy fiction and historical novels” according to Wikipedia. I’m guessing this one came from The Mexico Set, part of a trilogy he wrote…
How’s that for ephemera?
