Teotitlán del Valle, Oaxaca hosts the Indigenous Food Festival and Tamale Fair July 9-13. The tastiest event of the year is the third annual fair dedicated to the tamale and features plethora of corn dishes, including champurrado and ceguesa.
The event includes conferences and talks all in Spanish or Zapotec. Planeta.com has supported all three years of the festival and this year is preparing a multi-lingual dictionary of indigenous foods.
