Mazatlán Brings Vibrant Culture, Authentic Flavors to West Coast With Travel Seminar Dinner Series – Jan. 18 – 20

Mazatlán (January 11, 2011) – With Mexico tourism numbers on the rise, the New Year in travel is bright for one of the country’s top emerging destinations – Mazatlán, located on Mexico’s Pacific Coast. Despite the economic downturn, this seaside tourism hotspot continues to experience significant growth.

To showcase its rich mix of culture and world-class tourism offerings in 2011, Mazatlan will host a series of destination dinners and seminars in three cities along the West Coast, taking place January 18 – 20. Host cities are Seattle, Wash.; Garden Grove, Calif.; and Portland, Ore.

Travel professionals – including agents and tour operators – in each region are invitied to attend these lively seminars, presented by the Mazatlan Hotel Association and Tourism Board. Attendees will learn about Mazatlan’s wave of recent development – award-winning spas, championship golf, upscale dining and premier nightlife – as well as new activities, events and excursions that highlight the destination’s renowned heritage and natural treasures.

Additionally, each event will feature a dinner reception spotlighting Mazatlan’s renowned seafood and authentic cuisine. Guests will savor signature dishes, like Mazatlan shrimp and carne asada, prepared by the destination’s internationally acclaimed chefs.
