Mexicana Inaugurates Calgary-Mexico Flights

By MP Mexico News Staff

Mexicana began offering non-stop service between Calgary and Mexico City earlier this week.

Departing year-round from Calgary International Airport four times a week, Mexicana will operate an Airbus 319 aircraft, which boasts an award-winning 12 seat Executive class and 108 full-service hospitality class to passengers. Calgary is now Mexicana’s fourth Canadian gateway, in addition to Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal.

Direct scheduled air access is key to developing the emerging tourism market of Mexico for Alberta, which attracted 8,000 visitors last year.

This new service will increase the number of visitors traveling between the two countries and the amount of time they will spend in the province, allowing Alberta to showcase its diversity as a four-season destination with something for everyone.
