Oh, Brothel

By Lola

OK, here’s an interesting point of view: this woman apparently worked in a Mexican brothel for a year, according to her, legally, with better pay than at a factory and with regular medical service. In my opinion, it still doesn’t take away from the actual fact that it’s prostitution, but at least it’s not the corner stuff at $10 a pop, so to speak, and the women seem to be more protected.

She calls for legalization in L.A., and wonders what the headlines, if any, would have read if Spitzer had walked into her “office” instead.

Oh, and read the very last line. You’ll get a kick out of it.

  1. Brothels are legal in Nevada except for two counties. Where it’s officially frowned upon like everywhere else. It’s only bad if they happen to feel like enforcing the laws the day you’re there.

  2. How convenient, no? I’m sure the gov doesn’t mind all the tax money the “shops” bring in, huh…
