President Calderón Leads Delivery of Proceedings of Indigenous Mexico, New Dawn Meeting

caklderon-indigenousMexico City.- President Felipe Calderón delivers proceedings of Indigenous Mexico, New Dawn Meeting at Official Los Pinos Residence.

Over 250 indigenous leaders from all over the country met in Mexico City from March 9 to 11 with representatives from government, the business and trade union sector, academia and civil society at the Indigenous Mexico New Dawn Meeting to discuss and promote specific actions to promote inclusive, national development to cope with an environment of world crisis.

This meeting of indigenous leaders is an unprecedented event in the history of Mexico, since conclusions of the meeting will be used to promote a National Meeting between Government, Civil Society, the Productive Sector and Academia convened by the Indigenous Peoples for Mexicans’ integral development.

The Indigenous Mexico New Dawn Meeting is an example of harmony and peace in an atmosphere of crisis, since the contribution of indigenous communities, represented by their top leaders, will show that national development is possible. More information shortly.
