The announcement came at the tour’s first stop in Los Angeles during the weigh-in for Homecoming—the eagerly awaited bout between boxing’s reigning superstar Oscar De La Hoya and former world champion Steve Forbes. The fight, held May 3, 2008 at The Home Depot Center in Los Angeles, is sponsored by Tequila CAZADORES.

Marketing activation surrounding the bout includes launch of the Las Chicas CAZADORES Tour. In addition to the Las Chicas CAZADORES Tour, a full-scale marketing program is being executed to promote the bout, the fighters, and the celebration of the Mexican holiday of Cinco de Mayo. This includes extensive radio promotions, targeted print media, off-premise activation via industry-leading point of sale materials during the key Cinco de Mayo period, and promotional activities in restaurants, bars and nightclubs (where legal) including margarita features and other authentic Mexican cocktails.
